This method “BeOne Smart Pointer Approach“, shortened as “BeOne SPA”, guarantees a reliable identification of project risks, the planning of necessary measures in the project plan as well as the efficient steering of resources in order to minimise the risks. It has been continuously improved through numerous applications in production and organisation development projects in various branches. Thereby the “BeOne SPA“ method has evolved into a method-standard that is being increasingly applied thanks to its easy adaptability and its high efficiency.
One of the main differences compared to other risk management methods is that, next to the results with regards to content, the influences of the project environment and the availability of resources are being considered in the analysis.
Another significant characteristic is the measures planning and follow-up (trigger and scheduling) that is deduced in a systematic way from the project specific factors. The denomination „Smart Pointer Approach“ comes from the proactive project and risk management guaranteed by the method through the intelligent selection of primary pointers and the deduction of risk triggered (and not project) measures as secondary pointers.
The particular benefit of the “BeOne SPA”-Method is the risk management integration into the project management. Furthermore it promotes an optimised use of the resources in the project where they are most needed, meaning a higher effectiveness of the resources to manage the risk management.

The conference on Risk management
The RiskConf takes place from the 03rd to the 05th of November in Munich. The main focus is an intensive exchange of opinions and experiences concerning risk management, its relationship to project management and its applications in software engineering (methods, processes and tools).
