Migration of the Requirements Management Tool to complete the Tool-Supported Process Chain

Our task consisted of replacing the requirements management tool as part of an ongoing software development project for an automotive supplier. In the process, tool breaks along the development process were eliminated, which enabled continuous tool-supported traceability and impact analysis as well as the generation of comprehensive key process indicators.

In addition to the data migration itself, our job involved optimizing the information models and development processes to take advantage of the target system’s specific strengths. BeOne provided support during the process design and optimization phase as well as the programming (implementation) phase.

We were able to introduce a wide variety of analytical procedures and prepare the generation of key process indicators (CMMI: Metrics and Analysis). For this reason, operational project controlling (CMMI: Project Monitoring and Control) is now based on current objective data.

Thanks to tool-based traceability and impact analysis, unnecessary expenditures are effectively eliminated.
