Das Testmanagement stellt als Teil der Qualitätssicherung einen integralen Bestandteil des Produktentwicklungsprozesses dar. Da eine vollständige Fehlerfreiheit durch Testen aufgrund von Produktkomplexität und Testressourcen nie gewährleistet werden kann, stellt dieses besondere Anforderungen an das Testmanagement, um mit einer minimalen Anzahl von Tests eine möglichst hohe Testabdeckung zu erreichen.
